Pottery Class - Corn Country Bowl - Thu. Oct. 27 5-7 pm $22
It might be corny, but we just love it here in Illinois! Join us in using corn cobs and tassels on ceramics - it sounds silly, but the textures these commonplace crops add to pottery are pretty awesome. We like to see our surroundings with new eyes - join us & learn how to use cobs & tassels (provided) to make a stoneware pottery bowl that is food safe.
Your piece will be available for pick-up at the Hive 2-3 weeks from the date of class. It has to dry and go through the kiln not once, but twice!
This is a drop-in class - it takes about 20-40 minutes to make a 5” piece. Arrive between 5 and 6:15 (class ends at 7). The Hive is located right inside the front door of Sangamon on Main, 601 E. Main St. Mahomet, IL.
Classes are for ages 10 and up. Children under 16 must have an adult to supervise them during class time. No experience with clay is needed, and all tools, clay, glazes, and supplies are made available during class time. Participants may make one piece for each ticket purchased.
Refunds are available if you notify the instructor via email more than 24 hours in advance. Refunds for single classes will be for the complete amount. Refunds for missing one class out of a series will be for 75% of the class cost. Refunds are not available if you do not like your finished piece. By purchasing tickets you agree to this refund policy.
