Pumpkin Jar (A11)

Fall is the season of golden light and delicious harvests! Celebrate all of autumn with this handmade pumpkin pottery. Each piece is thrown on the wheel and then a hand-sculpted stem is added. A lid is cut from the top so you can hide all the best candy from the season inside.

This piece is made using recycled clay. I save all my scraps and through a process called reclaiming, I turn them back into usable clay. For these pieces, I stopped the mixing process a little early so that the beautiful variations in the different clay bodies I use could all shine through on one piece.

This piece can be used indoors or outside in any weather. If you do end up needing it for some kind of food (a cake topper?? I don't know your life!), it is microwave safe and can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Each piece is made in our home studio.

Measurements may vary due to the handmade nature of our work. During updates, questions on sizes may not be answered immediately. Note that these are glazed pieces, and glazes pool and drip in unexpected ways. Each spent its time in a different spot in the kiln, and can never be recreated.
