Ornament with Native Leaf impression (CP65)

Spending time in nature is one of my favorite things to do. This ornament is made with the intention of reminding all of us of the importance of refilling our green spaces with native plants! We all have to work together to keep our home - Earth - safe and healthy. Each piece is formed by hand and impressed with plant leaves, so this is truly a unique piece to add to your home or garden. Twine is included in case you want to use that for hanging.

This piece measures about 7.5cm. It can be hung outdoors throughout the year.

This piece is impressed with leaves from Silky Dogwood (Cornus amomum). This native shrub has many white flower bunches in the spring that ripen to dark blue berries in the fall. All parts of this plant are used for food by a variety of species from insects to mammals to reptiles. There are even records of turtles eating the leaves!

Measurements may vary due to the handmade nature of our work. During updates, questions on sizes may not be answered immediately. Note that these are glazed pieces, and glazes pool and drip in unexpected ways. Each spent its time in a different spot in the kiln, and can never be recreated.
